• The Company The company Vis Naturalis was founded in 2017. Headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece, Vis Naturalis researches, manufactures and distributes natural dietary supplements for animals of excellent quality. The company is in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy (Department of Technical Pharmacology) and the Nutrition Department of the Veterinary School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). A primary ingredient of our products is oregano essential oil. We use steam-distilled oregano oil from the Greek oregano variety origanum vulgare ssp. hirtum.
  • Our Vision Massive scale industrialized animal and poultry breeding utilizes chemical antibiotics and anticoccidials to combat viruses. Therefore, these antibiotics are passed on into the food chain and by extension into the human body. The frequent use of such chemicals results in the viruses, bacteria and fungi becoming more durable and resistant against them, thus reducing their effectiveness and requiring greater dosages and quantities. Furthermore, such chemicals may disrupt the natural flora of the animals’ digestive system, thus reducing their natural ability to efficiently absorb nutrients during digestion. Our vision is to replace these antibiotics and anticoccidials with products made of natural resources which both maintain the same high efficiency and also negate any unwanted repercussions.
